We did a cut-over migration and migrated 15 mailboxes to Office 365 Plan E3. We have Windows Server 2012 Essentials. We installed Office 365 Integration module on the server and it connects to our Office 365 accounts on the cloud.
We tried to sync the server accounts with the Office 365 accounts so that the users can use same password for both account. We use "Import Office 365 accounts" option on the server Dashboard but it fails to do so. The log says "the account already exist" When I check ADCU, there are 25 new user accounts apparently created by the import task, but that's not what we want. We want to link the Office 365 accounts to the existing server accounts that our users have been using to log on to their computer to enable password sync.
I am not sure if I am missing steps or what. Does anybody experience the same issue and know a solution?
