actually i run new migration including users with mailboxes more then 2 GB
when its done i will be sure if the server space has increased or not.
currently when i am migrating a user, its working fine, i can access it from O365 portal normally and it doesn't show in the on-premises "mailbox" under "recipient configuration".
ill let you know when the current batch is completed
