I am currently testing office 365 for our school environment of approximately 1000 students. I have federated with office 365 and have SSO setup, however I am not sure if SSO is 100% working.
I am investigating using SharePoint online for our intranet, but for this I want our users to able to log into any domain joined computer open internet explorer and for the home page to be them automatically logged into our SharePoint site. At the moment if I log into a computer and go to our SharePoint site school.sharpoint.com it redirects to login.microsoftonline.com where it asks to sign in, I enter my full username user@school.com.au it then automatically redirects back to our SharePoint site and I am logged in without requiring a password, so I guess SSO is working but my question is: Is it possible for a user to be able to go to our SharePoint site on a domain joined computer inside our domain and for them to be seamlessly logged in without even having to enter their email? Is this not working for me because I have not configured SSO correctly or is this beyond the capabilities of SSO?
For a SharePoint sites to be a viable option for our intranet I think it needs to be as seamless as possible otherwise our staff and students will not appreciate having to enter there email every time they want to access the intranet on a new computer (which happens a lot for students)
So any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
