Assigning deifferent smtp addresses to different users automatically when new users are created

Hi Experts,

I have one Dir Sync and one ADFS servers deployed in my company, there is one forest with different child domains, every child domain have around 3 different SMTP addresses, which are also created in office 365.

Normally what happens when we create a user in on premises and replicates to Office 365 as below

create a user in on premises --> after 3 hours user is synched to office 365 --> in office 365 we are assigning license to a user for Exchange --> and user email address will be by default after assigning exchange address is user1@company.onmicrosoft.com

We have around 3000 users in on premises and in office 365. and there will be around 1000 new users needs to be created in next few months with a bulk 300 users at a time

Problem:

as you have seen in above that when ever a user is created in office 365 its default email address is @company.onmicrosoft.com and we do not find any option in O365 to assign different smtp address according to the user location, every time we have to go to adsiedit and we have to add the proxy address to required SMTP address and after the next sync schedule user's email address will be changed to required one because of changing proxy address.

when we had on premises Exchange and AD we have defined OU level smtp assignment which is why every new user is created to the required OU so that users will be given the required SMTP address automatically how ever this is not the case in O365

Requirement

is there a way in which I can automatically assign the required SMTP address when user is replicated and assigned license in O365. we do not want to every time go to Adsiedit for each user and then add the proxy address. please let me know how we can achieve this as we do not want to do this for next new users which are around 1000 users in two to three batches which will be replicated to office 365 and each user's smtp address will be different then others. please let me how to achieve this and why every time user's smtp address is
@company.onmicrosoft.com

Thanks
