Hi,
Whenever I am trying to install the DirSync tool and selecting "Enable Password Synchronization, I am getting the following error in the EventViewer "Sync from FIMSynchronization Service is not running." followed by "Enable-MSOnlinePasswordSync failed. Error: The pipeline has been stopped." Despite this error, the AD sync would happen normally every 3 hours without the password getting synced.
Now I tried a solution given on a forum where registry changes needed to be made. I made those changes and since that time a couple of issues are coming up.
1. I am unable to still sync my passwords and the following error is showing up.
at Microsoft.Online.PasswordSynchronization.SynchronizationManager.SynchronizeDomain(SynchronizationExecutionContext syncExecutionContext)
2. My automatic sync seems to have stopped and I received the following warning:
On Saturday, 21 December 2013 20:36:49 GMT, Windows Azure Active Directory did not register a synchronization attempt from the Directory Sync tool in the last 24 hours for
I checked the Event Viewer and saw that it kept on trying to perform a Password Sync but kept getting Error 1 and never tried a delta import + delta sync + export cycle for my AD entries. However when I tried to perform a force sync using Start-OnlineCoexistence, it was successful in syncing so I am not sure if it is an error on the installation.
Moreover, whenever I try to reinstall the DirSync tool, I get the "The credentials of the supplied user <user> do not map to a forest" error intermittently and then after sometimes it goes away and I can proceed seemingly all by itself. This is despite the fact that I am logged onto the server as an Enterprise Admin and it is also a part of the local admin group.
Please help.
