To narrow down the issue, I’d like to confirm the following information:
1. Do you mean that Single Sign-On (SSO) is deployed in your organization?
2. Which service is used as the Security Token Service (STS), ADFS or other third-party solution?
3. Could you provide more details about “IE simply crashes”, such as no response, error message?
4. Is this Win7 laptop joined to the domain and connected to the internal network?
5. Could you please try accessing on another domain-joined computer?
