Based on my test, by default, the normal behavior should be like the following screenshot.
As far as I know, if there is no export item, it will cause some issue. Given the situation, I suggest you reinstall the Dirsync from http://g.microsoftonline.com/0BX20en/571. This will make sure the tool is the current version. If the issue persists, to get better support, we have a group dedicated to dealing with this kind of issue(Dirysync is based on the FIM).
