I have done what the KB suggest however to do what the KB suggest you have to create the user first, sync to the cloud which at that point get the wrong SMTP address then go back to AD and change the proxy address and re-sync. If I create 50 new users that's 50 user's I have to go back to change. I don't understand why the product in a federated environment will not create the correct SMTP from the initial user sync. I have a manual / scripted process that I follow that does exactly what the KB suggests. What I am looking for is a way to create the user the first time and sync to the cloud without having to go back and change the SMTP!!! I will contact support through my partner channel and see if someone has a different insight on this issue.
