Hi Guys
I ran a Dirsync to provision my accounts in O365. Unfortunately after that we realised that the migration would not work due to certificate issues on premise. I disabled dirsync and deleted the O365 accounts.
I then manually created the accounts on O365 and used PST files for the migration. All the accounts show as In Cloud. Now I am trying to set up dirsync again, but I'm getting a message stating that duplicate proxy addresses exist. Here is the setup:
O365 account:
UPN: BenJ@domain.co.za
SMTP: BenJ@domain.co.za
ImmutableID: $null
On premise account:
UPN: BenJ@domain.co.za
Proxyaddress: SMTP: BenJ@domain.co.za - mailboxes and all Exchange attributes have been removed from on-premise accounts.
I set this up specifically so I could use SMTP matching to link these accounts. It is not working and I keep getting the duplicate proxyaddress message.
I have tried the following:
1. SMTP matching - keep getting duplicate proxyaddress error. Even after removing all proxyaddresses from the On-Premise account, the duplicate error still comes up.
2. Manually setting the O365 Immutable ID - Uniqueness error - SourceAnchor
3. Pulling out my hair in frustration - bald patches.
4. IDFix - tells me there are no duplicates
5. MOSDAL tool - dirsync object xml output just gave me some numbers - no usernames or useful info.
I have been using this article:

Your assistance will be appreciated.
