Hi Grep,
I would like to confirm the following things:
1. Check if you download the Dirsync tool from http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=278924.
2. Does the issue only occur on this specific server?
It seems the SQL related files and user/group have not been deleted completely. So, I suggest you check the following things:
1. You have deleted the folders located in C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server
2. Delete the local user AAD_XXXXX, and local groups FIMSyncAdmins, FIMSyncBrowse, FIMSyncJoiners, FIMSyncOperators, FIMSyncPasswordSet.
After that, please restart the server and run Dirsync to check if it works. If the issue persists, I would like to confirm if you have configured the old Dirsync with a SQL server before.
Thanks,
Johnny Zhang
