We are currently not an Office 365 customer, we still run FOPE, and synchronise using the old directory sync tool installed on our server.
We are due to transition over to EOP very soon - all we need to know is whether all existing users within FOPE are copied over to EOP along with all the other settings as part of the initial 'transition'?
I've read through countless amounts of info on all the technet articles to find if we do get an initial copy of all our SMTP addresses within EOP, but it is not clear whether we do - if not obviously we will need to be ready to do a bulk upload of all our addresses using the CSV uploader.
This does also cause concern as obviously the period of time we go live with EOP with no configured list of SMTP addresses, mailflow will not continue...
We understand we need Azure/DirSync etc for continuous synchonisation, but for now need a straight answer as to what is copied over for the FOPE to EOP transition.
