2. Yes I revewed the Requirements. 2012 64 Bit R2 Standard, member server (not domain controller), domain admin account, .net 4.0 / 3.5 SP1 is prompted before installation happens so it was installed, power shell is default on 2012, local domain matches public / emai domain so I don't think i need to update any suffix settings (i sed the idfix software and cleaned up all errors in accounts).
I added myself directly as local admin of the server (even though I was domain admins and that was added). This time it ran and said it needed to reboot to complete the installation. It Started the install again and received the same error "Install was unable to setup a required component. Check the events logs......"
I tried the installation with manually installing SQL Server and launching the dirsyc with the "SQL" command switch and it installs, but i don't think it does correctly since I cant get it to see the SQL instance or an interface at all.
