I'm trying to remove any possible issues before syncing office 365 to our on-premises active directory.
We have a couple user objects that the cn attribute will not match. When it was created I think a period was added at the end of the name.
For example instead of John Smith it shows up as John Smith.
I cant edit the attribute in AD users and computers, when I try to apply after making a change it tells me the attribute is owned by the system.
Is it possible to edit this attribute so that the user logs on their workstation and still uses the same profile, and will also match up with there office 365 account?
