I'm trying to setup SSO for our Office 365 account. All the steps online are completed (setup and activated custom domain). Downloaded DirSync, and install the software fine. When I tried to run the configuration part, I received an Unknown Error (0x80005000)
There is not much on the event log, there is about 5 information message. The last warning was "Resetting password for domain\MSOL_xxx.
- MSOL user was created successfully in AD
- I double check both account for O365 for global admin, and use a domain admin account with Enterprise permission.
- The account use for installation is in local admin group and in the FIMSyncAdmin group
- Both FIM Sync and Win Azure Sync services is running under the ADD_ user account. The ADD_ account was added to the local Admin group
- I run through dcdiag to make sure AD is in good shape
- FIM is isntalled correctly, but does not look like the Agent(s) was getting configured (probably stopped before getting to that step)
- There is no other log file that can give us any other hints?
I tried to installed the DirSync in 2 different computer, one is a Windows 2012 and one was Windows 2008R2. Double check on all the requirements (not on DC, 64 bits...etc.). Both has the same error. I tried all usual the re-installed, reboot...etc without any luck.
We have one AD forest, one domain and one sub-domain. One primary DC and 2 backup DCs.
I'm not sure what to try next? Anyone has any suggestions is really appreciated.
