With the release of the new DirSync tool that is capable of syncing passwords, we have many clients who wanted this feature but weren't able (or didn't want to) setup the multiple servers involved in implementing ADFS.
As such, we have setup these companies with Office 365 without any kind of on-premise user sync.
What is going to happen if we enable DirSync now and sync passwords.
How can we match the users in Office 365 to the on-premise AD?
Do the UPN's have to be the same?
If we have a user in AD but not in Office 365 will it be created in Office 365 or deleted in AD?
If we have a user in Office 365 but not AD will it be created in AD or deleted in Office 365 (or neither)?
