Yes, I did sync all our public folders at one stage. We tried to give access to our on-premise public folders buy following this link technet.microsoft.com/.../dn249373(v=exchg.150).aspx but we gave us a we could not get it work. During this process we did run the script Import-MailPublicFoldersForMigration.ps1.
I have run the command in step 2 above and it does return the public folder in question. I have now deleted completely the on-premise folder and the online version also. However when I run this command it still returns the folder in question.
However if I then run the command Disable-MailPublicFolder -identity "publicfolder" it returns an error that the operation couldn't be performed because the "publicfolder" couldn't be found on .....outlook.com
