I have 2003 Exchange and 2003 Native Domain migrating to office 365 in staged migration. I want to sync accounts and passwords to office 365 but remain fully managed from from my domain only.  All accounts already have been imported into Office 365 with random passwords and not in use (they can be wiped and recreated if needed).  I have created an admin Sync account in office 365 and have a local domain account to be used for the sync as well.

I have a 2012 server which I am trying to install DirSync on a get errors and installation failures.  I am running the install as a domain admin user account on the server.

I have tried the installation multiple ways on two different 2012 servers, running as local admin, domain admin, adding the user the FIMSyncAdmin groups, tried SQL installation by manually installing SQL Express and i cannot get any to accept the installation.

I have also tried the recommended forced removal and retrying the installation after uninstall SQL software and deleting folders etc.
