We have the exact same issue. Our of 60 accounts that password sync words like a dream about 8 of these users it will not sync the password.
I have tried the following with no luck.
1. Uninstall Dir Sync install Dir Sync
2. Install Dir Sync on a new server.
3. Reset users passwords.
4. User different admin accounts when reconfiguring Dir Sync.
5. Check if the accounts have the password set to never expire.
6. And the below.
On your DirSync machine, run the following .psc1: C:\Program Files\Windows Azure Active Directory Sync\DirSyncConfigShell.psc1
In the Powershell console that loads, run the Set-FullPasswordSync cmdlet
Load Services.msc
Restart the Forefront Identity Manager Synchronization Service Service.
My worries is I deploy to a larger company and half the accounts will not sync.
Any help with this would be appreciated.
